Morduch and Me: The voices behind "Return Of The Rabinettes"

Morduch Rabinow is the main vocalist for my recent release, “Return Of The Rabinettes”. He is also my great grandfather who passed a hundred years ago in Borisev, Belarus.

The truth is he’s the “persona” that I used in my new album on Suno Ai, where much of the music for the album was made.

Morduch started as a voice clone of my own voice that I created at Ace Studio. I wasn’t thrilled with the sound. So I merged it with two other voices. To create a new voice. There was 35% of my voice in the mix.

I used that clone as my voice for my first album.

Over time, for some reason I don’t understand, the voice started changing. And as I started writing more Soul music. His voice became more “black”. He’s now a deep tenor with a little rasp. He also has a tendency to sing very intensely and at times crazy embellishments.

Last year Suno added a feature to use your own voice. So I made a few versions of my voice. These voices didn’t work for a lot of the songs but on the ones where it was acceptable I used it. So after a quick listen you’ll recognize Morduch’s voice. Songs with a different voice are variations on Suno’s interpretation of my voice.
